Some of you in Stanton Lacy Parish will remember raising funds for First Aid in the Community which was specifically set aside to cover the costs of First Aid courses. The Parish Council is still holding £750 for this purpose and wants to know how parishioners feel it should be spent.

There are several suggestions:

It could be used to maintain the three defibrillators that are in the parish (Church Farm Barns, Telephone Box at the top of The Hope and the East side of the Village Hall) or retained for their replacement at some point in the next few years as they come to the end of their life.

To run First Aid courses but most of those are provided free by the Ambulance Service unless they are certificated courses. They would also need someone to organise and run them.

To purchase bleed kits (approximately £70 per kit) which could be stored in the defibrillator cabinets.

For something else of benefit to the Parish. Suggestions please.

If you have any comments/questions about this fund then please let the Parish Council know on: stantonlacypc@gmail.com or speak to Heather the clerk on 07817607355 or you could attend the next meeting at 7.30pm 16th January 2025 at Stanton Lacy Village Hall when the council will be setting the budget for the next financial year. You would be very welcome.
